    On a sunny July 30th, 2024, Warsaw’s Chopin Airport was filled with emotions as a group of veterans from the Warsaw Uprising arrived in the capital city. The 80th anniversary of the uprising against German occupation was celebrated with great honor and respect, and the heroes were welcomed with open arms.

The event began immediately after the plane landed, and the veterans were welcomed by the Airport’s Operational Manager, Air Traffic Control Coordinators, VIP Line staff, and Border Guard officers from the Nadwiślański Branch of the Border Guard Post. The veterans were treated to a VIP reception, complete with a fast-track passport and baggage check, ensuring their comfort and convenience during their stay.
